| Washington,
NC artist, Pat Holscher, has studied art at Meredith
College and East
Carolina University, and trained under many nationally
recognized artists. Over the years she has been
juried into shows throughout the state and received awards
ranging from Honorable Mention to Best in Show.
Pat is active in the Watercolor
Society of North Carolina, serving
as newsletter editor, board member, and President (2001-2002).
National recognition has come
with acceptance in the Midwest
Watercolor Society's National
Exhibition, Neville Museum, Green Bay, Wisconsin; the
Watercolor Art Society
of Houston, Texas
National Exhibition (Dick Blick Award); the American Kennel
Club National Juried Competition,
Wichita, Kansas (Best of Breed Award & Best Working Dog
Award); the American Watercolor Society, New York, New
York; and the National
Watercolor Society's Annual Exhibition, Fullerton,
California in which she was also awarded Signature Status.
Her many
solo and group exhibitions include, most recently, the Tri-State
Art Exhibition at
the Fredericksburg Center for Creative Arts, an affiliated of the
Virginia Museum of fine Arts. Pat was commissioned to paint
a Christmas card for Hatteras Yachts,
Inc. and was the Cover Artist for the Outer Banks Outfitter's
Christmas Catalogue.
Additionally, her work can be found in the following municipal
and corporate collections: The City of Raleigh, The
City of Rocky Mount, Nations Bank, United
Carolina Bank, Wachovia, Glaxo, Hardee's Food Systems, First South
Bank, and Allied Marine of Florida. |
